Buffalo Auto Show Being Rescheduled

The Buffalo Auto Show announced it will be cancelling their planned event this February, and instead will be working on a bigger auto show to take place in the future.

This is another one of many events planned either before the pandemic began, or before the extent of it was known. It's hard to believe a year ago, we were still operating "as normal," without coronavirus on most of our radar's at that point.

WIVB reports there is no date set yet for the rescheduled event. The Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association, which organizes the Buffalo Auto Show, "hope to have the auto show in late spring," but they aren't setting a date until more is known about state opening guidelines for events.

WGRZ reports that even though the auto show isn't happening, New Car Dealers of WNY are still planning to turn February into 'Auto Month' on BuffaloAutoShow.com to let consumers take part in sales incentives that are usually part of the Buffalo Auto Show promotion.

“We are still firmly optimistic that we can present something very special in the late spring. Hopefully, the new vaccine will have a positive impact, our community will be healthy and we can host another great auto event in WNY," Paul Stasiak, President of the NFADA, told WGRZ.

 

"Helping to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 continues to be our highest priority. After extensive communication with our many partners, manufacturers, national touring partners, local officials, as well as experts in the medical field, we feel that pivoting to new show dates and a new format will be our safest course of action.”
