Parts of New York will remain under weather advisories as well today and into tomorrow and some more precipitation is expected along with the huge drop in temperatures.

There are some things you can do to make sure you keep yourself warm and safe when the wind chills get this low.

Dress In Layers - When you dress in layers it allows the air between each of those layers to warm up from your body heat which keeps you warmer.

Limit Your Time Outside - If you have to be outside to walk the dogs or go into work, make sure you are not outside for a prolonged amount of time. The less exposure the better chance you have to avoid injuries and frostbite.

Know The Signs of Frostbite and Hypothermia - Some of the symptoms include Shivering, exhaustion, confusion, fumbling hands, or drowsiness. If you start to see these, get inside and warm up as soon as you can.

The good news is that the temperatures will return to more normal temps for this time of year on Saturday.
