New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has given bowling alleys the green light to reopen today, according to WIVB.  In addition to bowling alleys being able to reopen today (August 17), the State is supposed to release guidelines for gyms to reopen.

Bowling alleys will be allowed to reopen at 50 percent capacity.  Bars in the bowling alleys will not be allowed to open, but you can enjoy food and drinks at the lanes.  There will be space between lanes, as every other lane must be closed.  Masks must be worn and you have to stay with your group.

Bowling Alley COVD-19 Protocols:

- 50% capacity
- Everyone must wear masks or face coverings
- Every other lane must be closed
- Bowling alley bars must be closed
- Food and drinks permitted at lanes
- You must stay with your group
- Bowling alleys must have cleaning protocols

Many people, including gym owners, have been demanding to know when gyms can reopen across the state.  Today, Governor Cuomo should be releasing protocols for gyms to reopen.  Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait from today.  I definitely want my gym to reopen, but of course I want to to happen safely.
