Boating Accident On Lake Erie Kills Elderly Man
It was a tragic weekend on Lake Erie for a family in Canada.
According to reports:
.. the man took his grandson out on Lake Erie yesterday before the vessel sank off the coast of Crystal Beach. The body of the 85-year-old man was recovered a couple of hours later. His name hasn't been released yet.
More and more people are spending time on the lake this summer. because of the COVID pandemic and the extreme heat, there is a surge in the amount of people on the water trying to find ways to beat the heat and stay closer to home.
Because of the pandemic, the border between the United States and Canada remains closed to public travel. It has made for a long and stressful summer for anyone who owns a cottage in Canada.
Things don't look to be getting any better and it was just announced that the Toronto Blue Jays will spend the season playing in the states with Sahlen Field in Buffalo being the spot for a majority of their "home" games staring August 11th.
