Wordle.  It's the game that has taken social media by storm over the past few months.  Those little green, yellow, and grey boxes that you have been seeing all over your Twitter and Facebook feeds must have gotten the best of your curiosity by now, and you more likely than not have had to at least check out the game to see what it's all about.

The game, which was invented in England, has recently gotten so popular, that its rights were snatched up by the New York Times.  Some folks can't stand the game, while others are wildly obsessed.

And with popularity, comes imitation.  There are several different spin-off variations of the game that have popped up over the last couple of weeks.  But one, more than all the others has caught our attention here in Western New York.

HURDLE

As the NFL offseason is in full swing, we all are needing just a bit more Bills in our lives to pass the time until the next Kickoff, and HURDLE is the perfect way to pass the time.

The concept is pretty simple.  The game is modeled after Worlde, as it lets you get 5 chances to decipher a five-letter word.  The WNY twist?  The answer is always related to the Buffalo Bills.

The game was developed by Hans Hansen, a Bills fan who lives just outside of Albany, and launched just last week. And much like Worlde, the game uses colors to let you know if you are on the right track.  But instead of the Yellow/Green/Grey boxes, the experience is much more Bills-themed as the boxes are Red/Blue.
