The Buffalo Bills lost more than just a game this past Sunday against the NY Jets. They lost a spark plug to their defense.

The Bills announced that 2nd-year Linebacker Matt Milano has been put on season-ending injured reserve after breaking his leg on Sunday.

Milano had surgery on his broken fibula yesterday and will be out for the remainder of the season.

He was carted off the field with 1:22 remaining in the game when his left leg got rolled up on goal line tackle.

It is the same type of injury that starting center Russell Bodine suffered last week in Miami.

No direct replacement was named by the Bills as of yesterday evening.

The Bills are back in action this Sunday at home against the Detroit Lions.
