It feels like the ‘90s again between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

The Bills and Dolphins are both 2-0 and the Bills have obliterated their first two opponents in the Los Angeles Rams and the Tennessee Titans.

While the Bills are the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season, the Dolphins have become the clear second best team in the AFC East. The Bills will also face a huge challenge with the sheer amount of injuries they have.

Safety Micah Hyde was placed on injured reserve and according to Hyde’s agent, he will miss the remainder of the season with a neck injury.

Head coach Sean McDermott also ruled out cornerback Dane Jackson and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on Friday. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver will also miss today’s game with an ankle injury.

Safety Jordan Poyer will also not play in today’s game. He suffered a foot injury against the Titans. Not having both Hyde and Poyer is a huge loss for the Bills against the likes of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Center Mitch Morse will also not play today in Miami.

Here are the full list of inactives for the Bills today.

This means the Bills will be starting both Christian Benford and Kaiir Elam at cornerback. Taron Johnson will be a veteran presence at the nickel corner for Buffalo but they will also start Jaquan Johnson and Damar Hamlin at safety.

Johnson has started one career game before this but was very impressive in the preseason and with him being in a contract year, this could be his time to shine.

For the Dolphins, tackle Terron Armstead and cornerback Xavien Howard are active but it’s not clear how healthy they are for the game.

The Bills pass rush will need to be a force in order to slow down Miami. It will take pressure off their young corners and safeties.

The Bills will also need their offense to be as good today as it was in the first two weeks.
