Download the Family Link app to monitor your child's screen time, text, social media, etc...But does your child/teen think it's fair?

As a single mom to a seven year old girl, it is imperative that I monitor what she watches online. Yes, my daughter has her own Smart Phone but it is more for security purposes and to have her call me when she is with my ex (her biological father.) The Family Link has been a god send to my family. I can set screen time limits, see her location, and view what she is watching. No, I don't consider this to be spying, I want to make sure she is safe. We can teach our kids how to be safe online which I have done as a former technology teacher, but you can never be too sure.

You can also set up filters for what they can specifically watch on Youtube. (I have the kids YouTube app installed on her phone and disabled the actual YouTube app.) If you have a teenager, I highly suggest having an open conversation with them and let them know that you are monitoring their online activity. You know how the old saying goes, "Better to be safe than sorry" Here's to keeping our kids safe!
