Being a parent is not an easy job.  Often, it feels thankless.  But let's be honest...some people are just not good at it.

We try to be the best parents we can be.  Sometimes, unfortunately, we fall way short of the mark.  But that alone doesn't make you a bad parent.

  1. You heard the phrase, “Don’t open the door for anyone” as you sat in the car with all the windows up and the doors locked and waited for them to just "run in for a minute" at Tops

  2. You asked them to take you to the Walden Galleria to meet your friends and they dropped you off at the McKinley Mall.

  3. They made you drive them to the liquor store...when you were 13

  4. They insisted on going to Super Duper instead of Wegmans

  5. Your dad made YOU clean up the mess HE made after the Bills loss

  6. They made you drink out of the hose (like most kids from the 80s and 90s did), but it was the same one your dad filled the gas tank with

  7. They were Patriots fans

  8. They made you go buy cigarettes for them.

  9. They wouldn't buy extra Rooties Blue Cheese for your wings because they said "there's ranch salad dressing in there that will be just as good."

  10. They could afford a snow blower, but insisted that the shovel and "some elbow grease" could do just as good of a job.

  11. They left dinner for you to cook yourself...but you were only 4

  12. When you asked for a Dan Marino Miami Dolphins jersey for your birthday, they bought it for you.

  13. They said they were going to drop you off at Father Baker's...and then they did.

Ok...some of those things DID make you a stronger person in the long run.  We will give them that.  But being Patriots fans and letting you be a Dolphins fan is just inexcusable.
