Fall officially begins today, Tuesday, September 22, 9:31 A.M. EDT even though yesterday had more of a Fall feel to it.

But according to meteorologists at NEWS 4 Buffalo (WIVB-TV) the weather pattern will be warming throughout the week, so while we may see a bit of patchy frost in the normally colder spots this morning, that should not be an issue the rest of the week and into the weekend.

It’s back to the sunshine Tuesday with a few clouds, with temperatures edge up a bit into the upper 60s to low 70s. Smoke from the wildfires out west will likely bring more of a milky white sky to WNY again and astronomical autumn arrives at 9:31 am.

Readings will be unseasonably warm, going from the mid to upper 70s beginning Wednesday, up to near 80 Saturday. The next chance for rain and possibly a few thunderstorms seems to be next Sunday.
