Coming on the heels of the announcement that former West Seneca East standout Evin Ksiezarczyk signed with the Buffalo Bills practice squad, another former Western New York football standout has signed a deal with an NFL team.

The Miami Dolphins, who the Bills host this Sunday, announced that they signed former St Francis QB Jake Dolegala to their practice squad.

Dolegala began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent signing with the Cinnittaiti Bengals after the 2019 NFL draft.

He was waived during the final cuts that year but ended up signing with the New England Patriots. He was waived after this year's draft when New England drafted Mac Jones in the first round. He later signed with the Green Bay Packers this summer before being released in July.

After becoming a free agent, he resigned with New England before being waived this past August. He then signed another contract with Green Bay before they released him at the end of training camp.

He will now be on the Miami practice squad and could see action if one of their active QBs gets injured.

Most times practice squad players don't travel with the team, so chances are that Dolegala won't be on the sideline of the Buffalo/Miami game this Sunday.

Dolegala was one of nine free agents who had a tryout with the Buffalo Bills earlier this week but wasn't signed to the team.
