It has been a busy summer for health officials in Niagara County.

If you live in Niagara County, the health department has announced that bats have tested positive for rabies.

According to Metro Source News:

Niagara County health officials have confirmed a third rabies case this year.   They say a bat caught in a home in Ransomville tested positive for the disease.  People are being urged to keep their pets indoors and not to feed any wild animals.

A free rabies clinic for dogs and cats is being held September 14th at the Town of Lockport Highway Department.

It is that time of year when bats are often found in homes. As a matter of fact, our own Rob Banks had an issue with bats in his home just last week!
