Last fall we learned that Sony is plotting an animated Ghostbusters project separate from Paul Feig’s upcoming movie — similar to the studio’s plans for an animated Spider-Man movie that will exist separate from their reboot collaboration with Marvel. Franchise wizards Phil Lord and Chris Miller have been attached to the animated Spidey project for a while, and it appears that Sony has finally secured a director for the animated Ghostbusters film, which also reminds us that Sony is working on an animated Ghostbusters film.

THR reports that Sony has tapped Fletcher Moules to helm the project, and if you’re wondering who that is, then maybe you recognize his handiwork in the animated commercials for Clash of Clans. No? Here you go:

These ads are pretty great. Liam Neeson! Christoph Waltz! James Corden! Fun animation and silly humor! The meta blend of live-action and animation definitely evokes Lord and Miller’s approach with The LEGO Movie, so you can see why Sony had their eye on Moules.

You may recall that Sony has teamed with Ivan Reitman and Dan Aykroyd to form Ghost Corps, a new production banner that will offer an entire Ghostbusters universe, including this animated project. It’s been heavily rumored that the studio is also developing a second live-action film which would potentially star Channing Tatum, with Sony courting Captain America: Civil War directors Joe and Anthony Russo to helm the project. Per previous reports, the two live-action casts could eventually team-up in a Ghostbusters crossover film.

Moules’ project isn’t the first animated Ghostbusters: The Real Ghostbusters debuted in 1986, establishing Slimer as a friendly sidekick and following the team from the classic film on further paranormal adventures. A second animated series, Extreme Ghostbusters, premiered in 1997.

Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15. The animated film does not yet have a release date.
