Buffalo firefighters were out overnight battling a blaze at a vacant Church rectory on Watson Street.

The building has been vacant for years, but was sold at an auction this past Fall.

Neighbors in the house next door say that it was "nothing but God" that saved them, after a person in the area alerted them to the fire and got them out of their house, which was just about 15 feet away.

Debris was seen everywhere after the fire was extinguished, and investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
