Longtime Jeopardy game show host Alex Trebek has revealed he's been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  He taped a video to be open and transparent with the fans of the show.

The 78-year old Trebek learned of the diagnosis just this week and although the one year survival rate for all forms of pancreatic cancer is just 20% the five year survival rate of Stage 4 pancreatic cancer is only 1%.

The odds are not good, but Trebek pledges to keep working and plans to beat the statistics.  It was just a little over a year ago that Trebek took a break from taping Jeopardy after he underwent brain surgery to remove blood clots from his brain.  He made a complete recovery and returned to the show after a month.
