The school board for Alden Central Schools has decided to go on the record about their opposition of the President's pick for Secretary of Education. Thursday night the school board, made of mostly current and former educators, unanimously decided to address their concerns about Betsy DeVos.

According to WGRZ their concerns are with the possibility of DeVos cutting funding and pushing for a voucher system for charter schools. Although the school has gone on the record opposing the Presidents cabinet pick, the town majority voted for Trump in the election with about 68% of the votes.

The final senate vote for Betsy DeVos' conformation will take place next Tuesday.  What do you think of the school boards decision? Comment below!
