It's nice to know Buffalo isn't the ONLY "city of good neighbors" in New York State (though clearly, ours is the BEST... ;)  )

Jenny Karpen is a cashier at a Walmart in Rotterdam, NY which is right outside of Albany.

Friday, an older man came through her lane with groceries and pet food.  After Jenny rang him up, he handed her some cash and asked if it was enough.  He was about $40 short.

He was about to start taking everything back, and Jenny told him to stop.  She took the cash out of her OWN pocket, and paid for the rest.

The guy didn't quite understand what had happened, and left without saying anything about it.  Not even a "thank you".

The next person in line was so impressed, they offered to give Jenny the money back.

She refused.

Later she told local news that she's never done anything like that before, but that she hopes it inspires others to do something nice during the holidays.

Bravo, Jenny!!! :)
