There is news from overnight that two people are expected to survive after a small plane crash in Chautauqua County in New York State.

According to reports, the call went out to rescue personnel on Thursday night.

According to WKBW, the individuals onboard the aircraft were conducting training exercises last night when the plane went down in a wooded area near Baker Street Extension in the town Harmony.

The pilot, identified as 63-year-old Lawrence Zupon and his passenger, 25-year-old Daniel Rossi, both of Ohio, were treated on-scene before being taken to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania.

This comes the same week that the NTSB released more information about the plane crash that killed Buffalo based attorney, Steve Barnes.

Barnes and his niece Elizabeth Barnes were flying from New Hampshire to Buffalo when the plane went out of control and plummeted into the ground in a wooded area off Route 33 and Boyce Road. Steve Barnes was piloting the plane.
