According to WIVB's Mike Cejka, snow accumulations are modeling over a foot of snow in the southern tier, with six inches falling in the Buffalo metro by Sunday evening.

The forecast, however, is not set in stone. The amount of snow we get will depend on how the storm redevelops through Ohio before it reaches Western New York. It will start as a mix early Saturday, then switch to snow later in the day.

Thursday will see some lake effect snow showers as well, with Friday being quiet, then the snow machine picking up again on Saturday.

There's no doubt we'll get snow, but here's hoping it's not 6-12 inches of it. That wouldn't be a very fun weekend...
