WIVB Meteorologists say we will start off in the 50s Wednesday morning but approach the 30s towards sunset. As this cold air enters the Western New York area another storm develops along the eastern seaboard. Moisture meets cold air, resulting in snow beginning Wednesday night into Thursday before tapering. In WNY we could see 1-3″ of snow for most areas, with closer to 3-6″ possible in the hills well southeast of Buffalo, particularly in Wyoming, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties.

Sunshine returns for a somewhat brisk Friday but will be enough to quickly start melting any snow on the ground. Temperatures moderate for Easter weekend. Saturday looks great with sunshine, and there’s a chance of a shower early Easter Sunday, but we should break out into some sun during the day along with dry weather.  There is a chance that could change before the weekend.

WEDNESDAY: On and Off Rain Showers taper off by the afternoon, Mostly Cloudy, Turning Colder PM, Early High: 47-54. Rain Showers at night will mix with and change to snow, Low: 29.

THURSDAY: Cold, Brisk Wind, Snow Showers taper off by afternoon, no more than a slushy inch or two at lower elevations, 2-5″ possible across the higher terrain towards Southern Tier, High: 35, Low: 25.

FRIDAY: Turning Sunny, Breezy, High: 40, Low: 31.

SATURDAY: Sunny, High: 53, Low: 41.

SUNDAY (EASTER): An Early Rain Shower possible, then Sunny Breaks and Drier for the remainder of the day, High: 57.
