Then he met his wife, they had their first child and he needed to worked two full-time jobs to make ends meet. Wenrich put the Overlook Roller Rink  job on the back burner.

Wenrich is  now 60 and  has returned to the skating rink, but now as a star according to FOX 43-TV.  Wenrich, also known as #ShuffleDad has over a million views on his daughter's TikTok account from skating at the Overlook Rink.

You can see him gliding on the  floors to Van Mcoy's "The Hustle" and Lipps Inc's "Funky Town" and more.

Wenrich said it was just a week before his daughter's first Tik-Tok went viral. He said during breakfast, his daughter told him the TikTok of him skating had exploded rising to 2.7 million views.

"The comments were 99.9 percent all positive from all over the world," said Wenrich. "It was more, you know, wow this makes me feel good. This is hypnotic. This inspires me to go out and skate again, " Wenrich said.

Wenrich now has over 10 million TikTok views.

He said he nothing but flattered at how the platform's younger audience has embraced him.  Wenrich with his granddaughter at the skating rink was recognized him from his  TikTok fame.

Wenrich encourages families to skate for a fun activity, especially now while activities are limited during the pandemic.

"TikTok is fun. Skating is fun," said Wenrich. It's a good family exercise that they can go out. Get some good exercise and listen to some good music hopefully and just get out in the open."

The last time I roller skated I kissed a support pole...luckily the support pole wasn't injured, but Wenrich is right...my daughter and her friends enjoyed it, and still laugh when it comes up.
