After 20 long months, the U.S.-Canadian border is slated to open for both travel on both sides on November 8.

As you may have expected, travelers who are crossing for non-essential purposes will be required to be fully vaccinated, which means you will need to wait two weeks after your second dose of a Pfizer or Moderna shot or two weeks after your first dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, but that’s not the only thing you need if you’re looking to cross the border.
