This story breaks my heart but at least I know this dog is getting the care he needs.

According to their Facebook page, the Niagara County SPCA is looking after a 6-month-old puppy named Hemi after he and another dog were seized from a Niagara County home after an anonymous caller said the two dogs in the backyard looked like they were in rough shape.

One dog could not put pressure on one leg and the other was Hemi, who was emaciated, dehydrated, and could barely walk. In fact, his back leg was so swollen the officer who rescued him had to carry him.

Hemi is now in the care of the Niagara County SPCA and needs your help.

The SPCA has started a Go Fund Me for Hemi and you can help make a donation by clicking here.

I can't comprehend how someone could treat a dog so poorly but it's a relief to know Hemi is in better hands and will be looked after and treated for his injuries.
