11 Retailers Are Closing Their Stores. How Will It Affect WNY?

11 Retailers stated that they will be closing it's doors... Below is all the info

Now, these stores ARE NOT closing for good. They are only closing a portion of their stores. Basically, the stores who aren't performing. Some of them do affect us in WNY.

With the convenience of shopping online so many people are opting for this instead of the shopping experience. It is so easy shopping online. With free returns if the product isn't to your liking and an unlimited amount of colors and options, what is not to like?

Lord and Taylor announced that they will be closing their flagship store on Saks Fifth Avenue. This is huge! They are set to close 20 percent of their stores nationwide.

Sears & Kmart are closing 12% of their stores

Ascena- which includes Justice, Ann Taylor, Dress Barn, Macy's and Lane Bryant are to close 5 percent of their stores

GNC- They recently closed their store at the McKinley Mall and more stores are set to close. They confirmed that they will be closing 3 percent of their stores this year.

Claire's- 2 percent of their stores are closing and still in debate whether or not the stores in Buffalo will be closing.

Signet Jewelers- This is your Kay Jewelers, Jared, Piercing Pagoda, and Zale's. They are closing 7 percent of their stores.

Footlocker- They are set to close 11 percent of their stores

The Children's Place- Set to close 10 percent of their stores

JC Penney- They are set to close 0.93 percent of their stores
