Joining many other kid-centric businesses, Chuck E. Cheese is the latest to offer special days for kids with autism and sensory issues.

According to a report on WGRZ, "On the first Sunday of every month, Chuck E. Cheese will open two hours early to provide reduced lighting and noise, with food and games and trained caring staff."

In a press release, the company stated, "We are excited to provide a special opportunity every month for sensory sensitive families to enjoy their favorite pizza and games in a safe and friendly environment of tolerance and understanding."

Many local businesses have sensory-friendly days for visitors, including the Niagara Aquarium of Niagara, Rollie Pollies of WNY, and We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym. Parents can find resources for area activities here.
