It is going to be a doozie of a weather day today! We can expect to see heavy gusts of winds sweeping over Lake Erie which will cause high waves and possible flooding!

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Wind and Lakeshore Flood advisory for much of Western New York today.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 PM
EST WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATIONS...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Northern Erie, Genesee,
  and Wyoming counties.

* TIMING...From early this morning through late Wednesday
  afternoon.

* WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* IMPACTS...Winds of this magnitude could lead to some downed
  tree limbs and isolated power outages...and will make the
  driving of high profile vehicles more difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Strong wind gusts will make driving difficult and could result in
minor property damage. Home owners should secure personal
property.

Also, because of the winds, we could see high waves along the Lakeshore of Lake Erie which could cause flooding!
