As a college professor, I am blessed to work with many young adults, who have just finally reached the age to actively participate in our democratic system in the United States.

As a college professor, I am also well-aware of millennial apathy.

As a college professor, I have the ability to teach, lead, and incentivize action.

I also have the ability to excuse students from the attendance report tomorrow.

So if this is what it takes -- if coming to my class tomorrow prevents the time needed for my students to get to their polling place -- then, tomorrow, I choose to look in the other direction during roll call.

VOTE. Whether it's for Clinton, Trump, or any of the third-party candidates -- VOTE. Democracy isn't a noun. It's a verb. And it needs your action to live.
