Vote Yes For Making Halloween Great Again

Over the weekend I attended Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Arts Center’s politically-themed fundraiser, The Third Party. I’m never one to turn down an opportunity to dress-up according to theme, so I headed to a local costume shop to see if they would have any patriotic or political themed costumes.

I’d hit the jackpot! This year’s presidential election is all over the media and a frequent topic of conversation among coworkers, friends, and family. It makes sense that you’re going to see a lot of Hillarys, Dons, and the occasional Bernie at a Halloween party near you.

Probably the coolest item I’m seeing this year is the big foam head. Of course I had to try one on, and while you lose a little peripheral vision, the big head cutouts are actually pretty light, comfortable and not too difficult to see out of. Pair with a nice pantsuit and an American flag pin, and you’ve got an easy, timely costume for this year.
