The Vietnam traveling Wall returns to Niagara County!

The Vietnam Traveling Wall returns to Niagara County today! It will have a motorcycle escort which welcomes this iconic structure. It will have a temporary home at The American Veterans Memorial at Niagara in Hyde Park, Niagara Falls. It starts today and runs through July 16th.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow at 11 a.m. What's neat? State Assemblyman Angelo Morinello who is a Vietnam Vet and also served as a city court Judge for many years will lead the ceremony.

It was created and is overseen by the Vietnam and All Veterans of Brevard, or VVB, a non-profit organization located in Brevard County Florida. According to the website:

“ It is a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It's there to heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.”

The wall is 6 ft tall and you can visit it's temporary home until July 16th.
