This weekend, we wrap up Daylight Savings for 2018 and turn back our clocks one hour.

While most of our clocks on our smartphones and smart devices will turn back themselves, make sure to check your oven, microwaves, and car radio clocks.

Officially Daylight Savings ends on Sunday Morning at 2AM, so it is good practice to change your clocks before heading to bed Saturday Night.

So why do we observe Daylight Savings? Well...glad you asked!

According to Wonderopolis.org “Daylight Saving Time was originally instituted in the United States during World War I and World War II in order to take advantage of longer daylight hours and save energy for the war production”

And as Webexhibits.org explains Daylight saving as “The main purpose of Daylight Saving Time is to make better use of daylight. We change our clocks during the summer months to move an hour of daylight from the morning to the evening”

Now you know!
