Coming off one of their worst seasons ever, things are looking up for the Buffalo Sabres!

The team is looking at some good news involving former winger Evander Kane. The Sabres traded Kane to the San Jose Sharks at the trading deadline this year for a conditional 2019 first-round pick, a conditional fourth-round pick in 2020 plus prospect Daniel O’Regan.

It looks like Kane is set to sign a long-term deal with the Sharks which will turn that conditional 2019 first-round pick into a definite first-round pick provided it is not a lottery pick.

That means the trade is looking better and better for the Buffalo Sabres!
