WNY Fear The #48?
WNY Fear The #48?
WNY Fear The #48?
It's that time of year in WNY where we've got one of those wacky forecasts. Literally, the words "lake effect snow watch" and "high 71" are in the same sentence today. You don't need me to remind you that 2 years ago today, some woke up with over 8 FEET of snow...

Snowvember Thank-You's!
Whether you loved it or hated it (by the way, if you're one of the former, WHO ARE YOU???) Snowvember affected us all. And nothing brings the "city of good neighbors" together more like a giant snow-storm!   This morning, we gave you the opportunity to thank those who may have helped YOU out.  Th...

Snowvember – 3 Things I Loved/Hated
One year ago today we were clobbered by the now historic Snowvember storm in Buffalo!  I was lucky enough to not be able to get home to my home in Lancaster so I had to stay at work for three whole days. 3 things I HATED about the Snowvember storm: 3 things I loved about it:

With the weather forecast calling for sunshine and 60 degrees today, it's hard to believe that one year ago Buffalo experienced one of the most epic snow storms in history - Snowvember 2014! The epic storm started around 6:00P.M. on November 17, 2014 and quickly settled over the Buffalo Southtowns, dropping 3-6 inches of snow per hour...
Could ‘Snowvember’ Return?
Could ‘Snowvember’ Return?
Could ‘Snowvember’ Return?
I seem to remember at about the same time last year the weather in Buffalo was unseasonably warm, then a cold front moved in and...well, the rest really is history.  The 'Snowvember' storm was one for the record books. As we come off of a near record-breaking warm week where we enjoyed 70-degree weather, the temperatures are turning more seasonal and, what about that dreaded Polar Vortex we hear a

Do the math....what were we doing about 40 weeks ago? Apparently, more than just shoveling! According to the AP, many area hospitals -- specifically Mercy in South Buffalo -- are seeing an influx in babies being born, thanks to being stuck inside with not much (besides the obvious) to do, during Snowvember...

Mercy Hospital is apparently witnessing a baby boom just nine months after the large snowstorm that buried Western New York last November. The hospital is apparently seeing a 25 to 30 percent increase in births, according to WKBW, putting the number of babies born per moth to around 300.
