It feels like it was just summer but it's already time to start getting ready for the winter holidays. The first Christmas tree lighting has been announced.

Usually on my daily lunch break walk, Rotary Rink at Fountain Circle Plaza is seen here melting on a warm FEBRUARY day! The winter month kicked off with record highs (58 at the airport just after midnight Monday Morning), with temperatures well into the 50's by Wednesday before turning colder towards the end of the week. The official Downtown Buffalo Tree lighting ceremony will be held on December 3rd at Fountain Plaza (Main and Chippewa).
