Ouch! Shots Your Kids Need To Get Before School Starts
Okay, it's here back-to-school, and that means doctor visits for vaccinations. Erie County Health Commissioner Dr. Gale Burstein has something to say about what vaccines your kids need.
One, that your child must be up-to-date on specific school immunizations, this means even if your child is heading off to college.
Two, for our middle-school kids there are three important preventative vaccines, that weren't around when we were little. These three shots recommended for 11-12 year-old are: HPV, Tdap and meningococcal conjugate vaccine.
Now, remember for us bigger kids, we should get those flu shots! Right? Ouch! Ask for a lollipop after, betcha you'll get one.
