One Last Visit To Toys R Us

It was announced last week that all U.S. Toys R Us stores would be closing soon, and consumers are advised to use their gift cards before stores close forever.

That's what prompted my trip to Toys R Us over the weekend. The entire time I was inside, all I could hear in my head was this version of the Toys R Us commercial jingle:

When I was at the Transit Road location in Williamsville over the weekend, there weren't any big sales (just yet). In fact, they were still putting out new product, including stuff for Easter. However, I can tell you that the PJ Masks section was definitely picked-over (come on, how hard is it to find a Luna Girl action figure?).

I wasn't the only one feeling nostalgic -- the parking lot was packed to Black Friday standards, and the lines were long (but moved fairly quickly). And, TONS of people taking #riptoysrus selfies.

It's smart to use your gift cards sooner than later though. As of right now, there's no official closing date for any of the WNY Toys R Us locations.
