Is there an artist that you feel continues to get better with their music as time progresses?

Delilah explains how Neil Diamond is one of those artists that continues to create new tunes that are just as good, if not better, than his previously released music.

If I could see all of you reading this today, I would ask for a raise of hands from anyone who has seen Neil Diamond perform in concert. (My hands go up!) The man, the legend, the musical master himself has been touring and singing on stage for as long as I can remember - and he just gets better, more refined and more exciting with every concert. For touring as long as he has at sold-out venues across the globe, I'm more shocked when people tell me they haven't seen him perform live yet.

If you are one of those unlucky few who haven't had the honor of watching Neil perform live, I have good news for you today. With the release of his new album, Melody Road, he is kicking off a 2015 world tour. Am I surprised? Not at all. And I'm thrilled! Because there is no voice, no warmth and no tone quite like that of Neil Diamond's, who continues to impress me with his artistry and full-bodied love songs...

"Neil describes Melody Road as a homecoming.  It brings him back to the start of his musical journey and the early influence of artists like the Weavers and Woody Guthrie.  The songs on the album reflect his lifelong love of folk music.  The vocals were recorded live, in much the same way they would have been if the album had been created decades ago, and while the instrumentation is lush, the arrangements are traditional.   Like the best folk songs, each of the album's tracks tells a story, most pointedly on "Seongah and Jimmy," a song about Neil's American brother-in-law and Korean sister-in-law, who met and fell in love before they had learned to speak each other's languages.  Despite the specificity of the song, it addresses a universal theme.  Melody Road is largely autobiographical, but the stories Neil tells are not his alone." ~ Melody Road Discography
