I LOVE cooking.  My earliest memories of watching (and LOVING) cooking shows are from about age 3, when I had half-days at school and my mom and I would watch Julia Child and Yan Can Cook.

I am NOT, however, a good baker.  I'm not a fan of measuring, and frankly, baking usually involves many bowls, pans, dishes, and utensils.  Which is why THIS recipe was SO appealing to me!

Mix all the ingredients IN THE PAN you're baking the cake in, and voila! Chocolate cake! Perfect timing for Valentine's Day....and you probably already have all the ingredients in your house!

You'll need:

  • 1-½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water

Preheat the oven to 350, and follow these simple steps!
