Lea Thompson has accomplished a forty year career in the arts that encompasses film, television, and theatre. She is best known as Michael J Fox’s mom in Steven Spielberg's BACK TO THE FUTURE I, II, and III; as the title character in the syndicated series CAROLINE IN THE CITY, for which she won TV Guide and People’s Choice Awards; and as Kathryn Kennish in five seasons of the ground breaking Peabody Award winning series, SWITCHED AT BIRTH. Lea will next be seen in the films WHO WE ARE NOW, LITTLE WOMEN, Netflix’s SIERRA BURGESS IS A LOSER.

Most recently, Lea directed and costarred in her feature film directorial debut, THE YEAR OF SPECTACULAR MEN, starring her two daughters Madelyn and Zoey Deutch. Along with starring in this family project, Madelyn also wrote and scored the film, which Lea described to Variety as “a personal peek into the life, language, and love of the Millennial Woman.” The film premiered in select cities June 2018, and was an Official Selection of the 2017 LA Film Festival along with many other festivals. Having been directing television for over 12 years including two JANE DOE telefilms, the 100th episode of SWITCHED AT BIRTH, ABC’s AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE, the 100th episode of ABC’s THE GOLDBERGS, and CBS’s award winning, MOM."
