This weekend marks another milestone for the Buffalo Museum of Science -- the official opening of the renovated Kellogg Observatory.

The museum will be open for extended hours on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 11pm, so visitors have the option of accessing the rooftop deck for solar viewing, or looking through the restored Lundin telescope after the sun sets.

The observatory has been closed to the public since the late 1990s.
