Is This Hairstyle Inappropriate For School Pictures

As I sat down to enjoy my evening cup of coffee I saw a picture of the cutest little girl and I loved her child appropriate " Bow" hairstyle. I could not help but think what a great idea for a little girls school picture.

The school did not agree. Little Marcella Marino wound up in tears when her school wouldn't let her take a school picture. The British school has a very strict dress code. It clearly states no braids or beads. Well that would have left me out amd cryinig as well. Do you agree with the school?
