Do you get annoying phone calls on your cell that appear to be from local numbers?  Unfortunately we have all at one time or another experienced this.  But what can you do about it?

First see what built in features your phone, or your carrier has. The next step recommended by the Federal Trade Commission is to download a call blocking app. You should be aware however while some apps are free of charge, some require a fee, usually monthly. Some apps may also access your contacts.
