My Three Favorite Healthy Snack Alternatives
When your trying to stick to a healthy lifestyle, it can become a little tricky at times. It's Girl Scout cookie time and I don't know how I will be able to control myself. Before I know what has happened a whole row of Thin Mints has disappeared and I am sitting there with chocolate around my face and a full cup of tea. I am not British, but I have managed to pick up my aunts British habits. I am still waiting for my English crumpets. I am so in love with a great cup of tea and pastry, It's one of my favorite cold weather past times.
Thank goodness for Eat This Not That. When their segments air on The Today Show, I pay attention. Here is a list of great snacks to grab when the urge hits.
I'm not a big fan of Kale chips, but that may change if a potato chip famine erupts. The following is a list of good grabs. I am cautioning you with the Indiana popcorn. The whole bag and I have been friends for months.

Luna Bar Chocolate Dipped- Coconut
This candy bar or shall I say healthy bar can be found at Wegmans. That's if I have not grabbed the last few. I pounce when I see them on sale and buy the whole box. I am a big fan of Luna Bars. The taste is phenomenal. With 190 calories, 7 grams of fat and 9 grams of protein I prefer this to the traditional Almond Joy.

Indiana Kettle Popcorn and Cinnamon Kettle Popcorn
This popcorn is so addicting. I have tried measuring out the 2 1/2 cups and walking away. I just keep walking back. What a great price!!! I pick up a couple of guilt free bags at Wal-Mart. If you check your Sunday paper sometimes there's a coupon for $1.00 extreme coupon snacking. It goes hand and hand.

Stacy's Simply naked Pita Chips
Did you say nutritious delicious crunching and munching. I'm so glad this chip decided to stay naked. Keep it that way Stacy!!! What a great product and alternative to potato chips. 130 calories, 5 grams of fat and 3 grams of protein make this a filling crunchy chip. Try them with salsa for an extra kick. I serve them along with a bowl of tomato soup. So yummy!!
