If you're among theatre fans who have been longing to see 'Hamilton,' you won't have to pay hefty scalpers' prices, or plan a trip to New York City. Today, Shea's Buffalo announced the touring production of 'Hamilton' will make a stop in Buffalo as a special engagement for Shea's 2018-19 season.

As is the usual custom for all special engagement productions, season ticket holders will have first dibs on tickets for 'Hamilton.'

In the meantime, plan your cultural calendar around the the just-announced 2017-18 season at Shea's. The season will open September 22 with the critically acclaimed musical 'Get On Your Feet,' the musical biography of Emilio and Gloria Estefan.

Start practicing the high notes of "I Will Always Love You" in the shower now, as 'The Bodyguard' comes to Shea's October 24-29.

'Waitress,' with music written by Sara Barellis, 'Something Rotten,' 'School of Rock,' and 'Love Never Dies,' rounds out the regular season.

Two Broadway blockbusters will be special engagements for next season: 'The Lion King,' which will run from December 13 through January 7, 2018, and 'The Phantom of the Opera,' which will run April 23 - May 6, 2018.
