I love the music we play, what a great mix of 80's, 90's and beyond. I remember the 80's it was time of big hair, bad bad eye makeup and funky clothes. The Atari gaming system seem so "dinosaurish".  It would not have been the 80's without good music, "Pretty In Pink", denim and the fresh smell of Aqua Net. What I would not give for a can of Aqua Net. Nothing and I mean nothing could topple a hair style sprayed and set with Aqua Net.

The videos of the 80's are so funny.  It was a much simpler time for music videos then. The videos always told a story and they were lots of fun. I compiled a list of some of my favorite 80's videos. Sit back and laugh at the youth, hair styles, scenery and graphics. Maybe some of the video producers of today should take notice. Retro fashion is back !!

Huey Lewis and the News. "If This is it"

I adore this video because Huey is an absolute doll that is chasing a woman who no longer wants him. He goes to her favorite beach spot"fully dressed" and longing for her attention. The lady spends her time picking up on men and rubbing their chest. Maybe she would of rubbed Huey's chest if he weren't wearing a hot read shirt and pants on the beach.

    Irene Cara "FAME"

This was one of my favorite songs. I would sing it at the top of my lungs. The video is absolutely hilarious. I love the gold outfits and the male dancers. There is no way Debbie Allen would of allowed them in the School of visual and performing arts dancing like that. No one on medication should view the video. It may cause nausea.

    Police "Wrapped around your finger"

Sting could easily wrap me around his finger then and now. This video is simple and effective. Sting jumping up and down in his white linen, Stewart on the drums looking so ..ooh lala and the guitar player; I'm sorry I don't know his name helped give the video it's cool relaxed vibe.

    Sheila E "Glamorous Life"

This is the first time I ever heard, "If you have to ask you can't afford". I always thought you should ask if you don't see a price. This is another simple and fun video. This is when bands actually matched. I thought the hairstyles were the best ever and Sheila E. was fabulous. The dance moves are simple and no one broke a sweat.

Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"

This song will live on forever. Cyndi Lauper should be credited with starting the side shaved hair style. Who can forget Captain Lou as her father. I love how she put him in a hold and he just runs off. All of the girls were on the phone and having fun. Her fashion was punk chic, making her a one of a kind artist.
