Last night I had the opportunity to see the new Disney/ Pixar film 'Finding Dory' ahead of its upcoming release. 'Finding Dory' is the sequel to the popular 2003 film 'Finding Nemo', 13 years later we finally get to see how these beloved characters are doing. I went into this screening with high expectations for the film, I was 11 years old when the first movie hit theaters and was instantly hooked (pun intended). I can truly say this follow-up did NOT disappoint.

'Finding Dory' is an excellent film for the entire family (even for a 24 year old male cough cough). Ellen DeGeneres once again voices the character Dory, her performance is spot on. If you love Dory "speaking whale" or her hilariously forgetting everything in the first film, those antics are back in this incredible sequel. Theres also some really great new characters to fall in love with. The film also stars Ty Burrell & Ed O'neil (both from ABC's Modern Family) lend their voices to characters in the film.

The plot of this sequel focuses on Dory and her exploration to find her parents after remembering them for the first time since her childhood. With the help of her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure. Along the way Dory finds herself at the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. She realizes she must save her mom and dad from captivity to be reunited.

'Finding Dory' opens to theaters everywhere this Friday, June 17th!
