Buffalo has had some amazing transformations and new attractions added in the past couple years, but let's face it, parking still seems to be a huge issue... but that could soon be changing.

According to WKBW, it's being said that City officials have been in talks and are exploring the possibility of adding more parking spaces in downtown Buffalo. The new spaces would be located both North and South of Church Street.

How many parking spaces exactly? How about 750 of them! The newly added spots would be primarily around popular hot-spots in the downtown area such as the KeyBank Center, Canalside and surrounding restaurants etc.

Kevin Helfer of the City of Buffalo Parking Enforcement division had this to say about the proposal:

"It's all about creating access...We're trying to create access, we're trying to create turnover and the only way to do that is to increase the hours."

Now parking currently goes until 5PM, but with this new proposal, it would now be extended until 10PM. City officials believe this would create more turnover, as well as make patrons have to pay longer. I think this is something Buffalo needs and will only help bring more people to Downtown, and have current residents also be able to stress-less about parking!
