Canalside – Then and Now [PHOTO]

My kids and I were out at Canalside earlier this week for another amazing Buffalo summer sunset. It's a beautiful place that my kids have known well, since forever, for them.

They like to ask me, "Mommy did you do (insert whatever activity we're doing at the time) when YOU were a kid?" And I'm like...nah kiddo, this place used to just be like a sort of grassy lot with a bunch of garbage and fences and stuff.

And when you look around at Canalside today, it's almost hard to remember a time when it wasn't part of our city.

I came across this photo on Facebook today, and couldn't believe it -- what a difference only 7 years makes!
