A great season for the Buffalo Beauts came to an end on Sunday with a 1-0 loss to the Metropolitan Riveters in the championship game of the National Women's Hockey League.  The only goal of the game came in the first five minutes and the Riveters behind their goaltender Katie Fitzgerald made it hold up.

The Beauts had some great chances to score, but each time they couldn't get off a good shot or when they did Fitzgerald was there to stop it.

It's the third straight year the Beauts have advanced to the title game, but only won it once - last year.  The Riveters meanwhile become the third team in the four-team league to win the league championship and the Isobel Cup.
