When you've got 20 candy-starved kids at your door and you've run out of Halloween candy, ya gotta get resourceful.

Soy sauce packets.

Cough drops (they were Luden's...lets face it, those are basically candy).

Bullion cubes (???).

Yes, those are things I'VE resorted to.  I gave a kid a mini-stapler one year, just because I didn't want him to leave empty-handed.

We asked WNY to fill in the blank:  "We ran out of Halloween candy, so we gave out _______"
