Multiple sources have confirmed Buffalo Police headquarters were visited by FBI agents last week, seizing computers and cell phones for further analysis.

The nature of the investigation isn't clear, but some say the items were from the "Intelligence Unit", which deals with gang and drug dealing cases.

The BPD was cooperating, so the term "raid" wasn't used in this situation.  It should also be noted that Buffalo Police spokesperson Mike DeGeorge says it would be "inaccurate" to say computers were seized, but would not elaborate further.

The FBI neither confirms nor denies the investigation, and says they regularly work with the Buffalo Police.
